Birth Certificates
At Gates Registry, we provide two main services regarding birth certificates.
You will need identification for either certificates.
You may wait 1 – 3 days for your certificate to arrive. You will have to come into our office to pick it up though.
Birth Certificates
Birth certificates include information such as:
- Place of birth
- Full legal name
- Birth date, and
- Parent’s legal names
Multiple framing sizes are available.
Copy of Registration of Birth
This document is a photocopy of the registration of birth. It is the same document the parents would have filled out while at the hospital. Information on this document may include:
- Time of birth

Who Can Order These Documents
To order either of the mentioned documents above, you will need to be one of the following:
- Parent(s) of the individual on the birth registration
- Adult next of kin
- A person adopting a child (some restrictions apply, phone for more information)
- Order from the court
- Any person who needs it to comply with the child welfare act (proof is required)
- Person who is on the birth registration
- A person with power of attorney
